Spiraea japonica ‘Magic Carpet’ is a low-growing shrub with bright red new foliage that gradually turns green, giving a multi-coloured effect. The vibrant foliage is topped by flat clusters of deep pink flowers in summer. Quick-growing and unfussy, it makes a good ground cover shrub and will grow happily in sun or light shade.
