‘Wilja’ is the perfect variety to bridge the gap between early salad potatoes and the main autumn-season main crops. Its yellow, firm oval tubers are great for general purpose and boiling with a good, light and earthy flavour.
This variety gives high yields, and has a good resistance to common diseases. It is recommended to grow this variety in a position in which they can form an effective windbreak to the more tender crops or bedding nearby.
