Officially Licensed USMC VMO-6 (With Rocket) Patch

Officially Licensed USMC VMO-6 (With Rocket) Patch — Marine Observation Squadron 6 Embroidered Patch

VMO-6 with the rocket — observation with teeth.

VMO-6 was a Marine observation squadron that served with distinction in Korea, where Marine observation aircraft evolved from pure observation into armed reconnaissance and close air support direction. The rocket element in this patch design reflects the transition from unarmed observation to armed observation helicopters that could both spot targets and engage them. VMO-6 helicopters in Korea pioneered the concept of armed helicopter operations that would later define the Vietnam-era gunship mission.

Perfect For:
VMO-6 veterans, Korean War Marine observation aviators, armed helicopter pioneer historians, and USMC observation squadron patch collectors.

VMO-6. Rockets. Observation with firepower.
