Evergreen climber Clematis armandii looks spectacular in spring, with its twining stems smothered in masses of fragrant star-shaped white flowers. This vigorous climber will twine over wire supports and quickly cover a sunny south or west-facing fence or wall, so give it plenty of space to grow.
Clematis armandii is in Group 1 and does not need routine pruning, but can be cut back after flowering to keep it to size.
